Real estate in Slovak Tatras attract Polish investors

Source: Rellox

The most popular form of investment in Slovakia are apartments with guaranteed income in the Tatras. The apartments are right across our southern border, so it's very easy to use them. When you are not using the apartment, an experienced manager takes care of the property and further renting, and you receive income in euros.

As David Katrenčík from Rellox says, buying an apartment in Slovakia is a great way to diversify your investment portfolio and generate income in a different currency. In addition, such a property gives the privilege of political, market, and tax diversification and provides the ability to travel even in times of closed borders. And, of course, real estate abroad maintains and even increases its value, making it excellent protection against inflation.

All this makes this region very popular among tourists, which is confirmed by the record data for 2019. According to them, Slovakia was visited by a total of almost 6.5 million people, which is a 15 percent increase compared to 2018. At the same time, the number of domestic and foreign tourists is growing. In the case of Polish tourists, it constituted a record increase of 6.2 percent. Rellox company also notes a growing interest in real estate in the Slovak Tatras.

The resorts in Liptovsky Mikulas, Liptovsky Jan, and the prestigious Donovaly are of particular interest. Some of them even offer the possibility of guaranteed income, which is a very desirable added value. In addition, we are encouraged by lower property prices in Slovakia compared to Poland. However, according to Eurostat data, Slovakia records the highest increases in Europe in this area (15.4 percent in the first quarter of 2020). Therefore, we can count on the continued growth of our property. Important information for Polish citizens is that there are no legal obstacles to the purchase and possession of the real estate.
