UN Global Compact Network Poland (GCNP) and the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support tools for financing sustainable development. The initiative was held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Development, Labor, and Technology.
“Joint initiatives promoting the development of new business practices that take into account climate challenges, the role of financial institutions and business in building a climate-neutral, green economy are the expected effects of the agreement between the United Nations Global Compact Network Poland and the Warsaw Stock Exchange. As the minister responsible for the development, work and economy, I am glad that I am taking patronage over a project aimed at sustainable development and strengthening corporate social responsibility, which is related to issues related to obtaining financing for investments, and the direction of development of capital markets,” Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister, said.
The cooperation between GCNP and the WSE, supported by the Polish government, is primarily aimed at developing and promoting activities aimed at sustainable development of the country, improving the quality of life of citizens, and promoting corporate social responsibility.
