Work location does matter: report
As many as two-thirds of employees would accept a less-paid job but in a better and more convenient place. Already half of the respondents want to devote to the max. 20 minutes, while 29% are able to accept a half-hour trip to the office, according to Grafton Recruitment and CBRE.
Experts emphasize that a good location is a factor that will gain in importance, especially in an increasingly crowded urban space.
“The employee market is a phenomenon described in recent years from all possible points of view, but always in the context of the fight for candidates. However, it turns out that benefits or even higher salary may not be enough," Jan Banasikowski, HR and location consultant at CBRE, said.
Grafton Recruitment and CBRE research show that already 82% of job seekers pay attention to the location of a potential employer's office. In addition, 65% would be willing to accept a less profitable offer, but in a more convenient place. Every fifth person does not want to spend more than 10 minutes commuting, and 58% accept a range of 10-30 minutes. Only 19% said they would be able to commute to the office in more than half an hour.
