WSE reduces share listing fees for issuers affected by coronavirus pandemic
WSE will support stock exchange issuers most affected by the economic crisis caused by the pandemic. Issuers of the WSE Main Market and the NewConnect market will be able to apply for the reduction of fees for listing the shares in 2021.
Companies must meet certain conditions. It is about the documented decrease in revenues in the period January-September 2020, which, compared to the same period in 2019, must be more than 20%. The aid will also not apply to the largest listed companies, but only to those whose capitalization as of December 31, 2020, will be below PLN 1 billion. Additional conditions are the publication of the quarterly report for Q3 2020 by the deadline and the submission of an application for a reduction in the fees for listing the shares in 2021 by January 20, 2021.
"2020 was a difficult year for many companies, especially listed companies, which had to not only meet the business challenges caused by the pandemic but also continue to fulfill their obligations related to being listed on the stock exchange. As an organizer of this market, we try to support our participants as much as possible. We have also created and are gradually implementing the project ‘It's worth being a listed company’, which on the one hand encourages companies to enter the WSE, and on the other supports companies already present on the stock exchange. responsibility and solidarity of the WSE with our issuers, but also a tangible brick supporting the return of these companies to the development path," Izabela Olszewska, Member of the WSE Management Board, said.
